Shelter in the Park

To enhance the two chateaux in the park, a landscape project creates long woody perspectives highlighting the two chateaux and enhancing the views of the river below.

The shelter is positioned precisely on the limit of the football pitch. The three covered yards are slid in-between two very long façades, clad with tall rusted steel blades. These make up a fence that plays with shadows and sunlight, as a frontier between the football ground and the children’s leisure center.

Each covered yard has a distinct entrance, allowing for very different uses to be clearly identified. When under cover, the openings carefully frame views onto the surrounding park and the majestic trees.

The interior is purposely rudimental, fashioned out of raw materials laid out in an honest and direct manner. Thus answering its primary function: providing a robust and practical shelter, for machines, for sports people and boisterous children…
